Care: Brown Trout are a colourful fish noted for their bright red spots along its sides. They can be aggressive towards other fish and males often become territorial when kept in small numbers.
A member of the Salmon family they require very high water quality and oxygen levels. Our Brown Trout are farmed so they are used to taking sinking or floating pellets, but will still enjoy worms and insects as treats.
Larger specimens often become predatory.
All Trout are prone to jumping and have the capability to leap four times their body length out of the water. So great care should be taken to ensure they can’t ESCAPE!
