Maximum Size: 60cm
Preferred Water Conditions: Will acclimatize to a wide range of conditions. pH: 6.5-8.0
Temperature: Cold water-temperate between 2-20 deg C (34-72 deg F)
Care: Bream are a mid water shoaling species which should be maintained in groups of 5 or more. They usually congregate in calmer areas of the pond and are suitable for housing with other similar sized pond fish.
Bream typically feed on insects, insect larvae, small crustaceans and plankton. They often feed from the bottom of the pond, but will soon learn to come up for pond flakes, pond pellets, pond sticks and live/frozen foods. Also grazing on some aquatic plants and plant debris.
