Typically they have a maximum size of 120cm, but in the past there have been larger found in the wild. Sturgeon can have a life span of 65 years.
They need good water quality and much higher oxygen levels than most fish, therefore a good filtration system is essential.
There is a wide range of foods available specifically for sturgeon usually in the form of pellets, but they will also feed on small insects, insect larvae, small crustaceans found in the pond.
We hold an ILFA licence to keep and sell these fish – buy with confidence.
