Red Paradise Fish Macropodus Opercularis 4cm

Overview: The Red Paradise Fish, also known as the Paradise Gourami, is a stunning freshwater species cherished for its vibrant red hues and distinctive finnage. Originating from East Asia, these fish boast captivating personalities and make fantastic additions to serene aquariums.

Origin: Hailing from East Asia, specifically China, Vietnam, and Korea, the Red Paradise Fish thrives in slow-moving or still waters like ponds, marshes, and rice paddies.

Feeding: Omnivorous by nature, these fish eagerly accept a varied diet comprising high-quality flake foods, pellets, live or frozen foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and even occasional vegetable matter.

Tank Mates: While generally peaceful, Red Paradise Fish can display territorial behavior, especially males during breeding periods. Ideal tank mates include peaceful community fish like danios, rasboras, or peaceful tetras. Avoid keeping them with fin-nipping species or overly aggressive tank mates.

Aggression: Males may exhibit aggression toward each other, particularly during mating or when establishing territories. Providing ample hiding spots and space can mitigate aggression.

Experience Level: Red Paradise Fish are suitable for aquarists with moderate experience. They require attentive care to maintain their water conditions and manage potential territorial behaviors.

Water Parameters: Optimal conditions include a temperature range of 72-82°F (22-28°C), a pH between 6.0-8.0, and relatively soft to moderately hard water (4-15 dGH).
