Ideal for small community tanks, Sparkling Gouramis prefer calm companions such as small tetras, rasboras, or peaceful dwarf shrimp. They’re generally non-aggressive, but males may exhibit territorial behavior towards each other, necessitating adequate hiding spots and plant cover.

Their tranquil nature makes them suitable for beginners, although a moderately planted aquarium and stable water conditions are crucial.
